This rugged GPS navigator keeps your group in touch and on track! The Group Ride Radio feature offers tracking for up to 20 riders (each using a Tread device) with no cellular coverage needed, and the push-to-talk fist mic lets you easily communicate. Use the free Tread app to sync waypoints, tracks, routes, and collections across devices, including your mobile device, computer, and Tread navigator. Built-in sensors include an altimeter, barometer, compass, and pitch/roll gauges. The Tread includes preloaded topographic and street maps of North America with U.S. Forest Service Roads and trails. Access public land boundaries for national forests, Bureau of Land Management, and wilderness areas. View private land boundaries and landowner information for parcels greater than 4 acres, and download high-resolution BirdsEye Satellite Imagery (no annual subscription required). The Tread delivers spoken turn-by-turn directions for on-road navigation and comes preloaded with iOverlander points of interest and Ultimate Public Campgrounds. The Tread is compatible with inReach global satellite communicators (sold separately) for two-way text messaging and interactive SOS. Pair the Tread with a Garmin PowerSwitch digital switch box (sold separately) for on-screen control of 12-volt electronics. The 5.5 glove-friendly touchscreen offers easy viewing in even bright sunlight. IPX7-rated and MIL-STD-810 drop rated.
