Operating Range: -20 to 60C (-4 to 140F). Battery Type/Power Source: Integrated 1.7 watt solar panel and NiMH rechargeable battery pack; optional AC power adapter or external solar panel can be used in place of integrated solar panel. Battery Life: Typical 35 years when operated in the temperature range -20 to 40C (-4 to 104F); operation outside this range will reduce the battery service life.

Compact and rugged, these HOBO MicroRX Weather Stations are an easy-to-deploy, low-cost cellular solution for long-term, reliable field monitoring. Two power source options are available:a solar panel for extended deployments, and user-replaceable AA batteries for flexible mounting in covered or protected locations. Each station includes inputs for up to five of Onsets research-grade plug-and-play smart sensors. Configurable station-side alarms trigger immediate notifications of critical conditions including accumulated rainfall. Also features a built in LCD to confirm setup and operation. Onsets cloud-based HOBOlink platform makes it easy to view, access, and share data with up to 10 minute connection rates via 4G cellular data plans. The MicroRX Weather Station is housed in a weatherproof IP66/NEMA 4X enclosure. Battery powered model has user replaceable AA batteries (included), and the solar panel model can be supplemented with additional solar panels (sold separately).
